SOCIAL MEDIA SEASONAL

Here is a breakdown of a few of my main responsibilities in this role:

1-on-1 Engagement: A big goal for Bears social is to focus on connecting directly with Bears fans across different social platforms. It was my role to seek out and execute any opportunities to interact with our players, fellow Chicago teams, the NFL, and other relevant accounts. Within my first three months, the engagement on our comments across TikTok reached over 2 million* and we drastically increased our presence in the social space.

*This does not include comments on our own videos.

Pop Culture Integration: As an organization, the Bears are aiming to reach a younger crowd and branch outside of die-hard football fans. We wanted our content to be relevant to different demographics. It was my role to keep my finger on the pulse of any pop culture moments that we could integrate into our social calendar.

TikTok: This platform became my main focus from the beginning. I was in charge of organizing game captured content, which allowed me to pull clips to utilize on TikTok. One of the main struggles with this app is the inability to use sounds with music as well as not being able to use highlights per league rules. During the 2021 season, our TikTok saw a +70% audience growth YoY along with +103% increase in likes YoY.

Instagram Stories: Posting to IGS was one of my main responsibilities day-to-day but specifically on game day. The goal was to create a visual storytelling experience that utilized different forms of media. Our yearly IGS completion rate increased by 90%.
